THE LEADING LIGHTS WERE TWO by Ray Denhison. This original, one of a kind work is a digital image of a mausoleum at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis. The photograph, taken by Denhison, is printed on a page taken / torn from an out of print Art History book. The book page, with an image of a Roman triumphal arch and a marble portrait bust of a Flavian woman, has been used as it was found with no alterations (the paper has toned naturally with age). The work is signed and dated.
This photographic image was printed using a laser printer. It measures approximately 8 by 10 inches and is shown here in an 8 by 10 inch black matte for demonstration only (matte and frame are not included) The Denhison watermark doesn't appear on the actual work.
